Super Sunday 500
We have an opportunity every week to invite our neighbors to come worship with us. However, we want to make a special effort to invite as many as we can on April 29, 2007
We want to fill our building with over 500 people worshiping our God together on that day.
Are you sensing the excitement this will bring? Have you talked to God about it? Have you talked to your neighbors about it? Ask them now and then remind them just before the 29th!
World Bible School
Our "local" World Bible School is expanding rapidly! By local we mean students within the United States. Our church web site has an ad for WBS lessons and we have people in a number of different states who are enrolled in a WBS course.
Of course, we still advertise every week in the Greensheet and get quite a few new students through this ad. Also, our new Introductory Lesson has a separate sheet for people to refer their friends for Introductory lessons and many of these are filled out and sent in with anywhere from a couple of names to as many as twelve at a
time. Quite a few students, both local and foreign, send in twelve new names at a time.
Please keep all of those people in your prayers who are studying the Bible through these correspondence courses, both within the US and in other countries.
We have around 20 teachers in our congregation that grade lessons and correspond with students. If you would like to be involved in this good work, see Wayne Sharp.
Get Out of Debt
Watch for our advertisements on the Get out of Debt Seminar with Bruce Ammons on April 28, 2007. The seminar will begin at 9:00 am and conclude at 3:00 pm.
This seminar is open to our community and we need your help in getting the word out. Forms are available to be filled out to let us know that you plan to attend the seminar. Get yours turned in this week.
Elder and Deacon Assignments
In order to have a point of contact for the various ministries that are ongoing within the congregation assignments have been made for both elders and deacons. The list appears on the reverse side of this copy of “Notes from the Shepherds.”
Many of these ministry areas also have one of our members designated as the key person, however this is a listing of the elders and deacons involved.
