THE 2007 BUDGET

       The generosity of this congregation has been blessed by God. In 2006 our giving was $21,535 short of our goal. However the items submitted for our budget for 2007 prompted the shepherds to increase the goal to $8,836 per week. With God’s blessing we reached our goal and a little more. The average contribution for 2007 was $8,842.63.

THE 2008 BUDGET

       Thank you again to everyone that submitted and item for budget consideration for 2008. The requests exceeded the amount for 2007 by several thousands of dollars. Your shepherds reviewed these requests together with the operational requirements and have set $9,400 per week as our goal for 2008.

       Several changes have been made in the format of the budget for 2008. For instance, we have been assisting Dimitri Greshnakov in Russia for several years from funds given on Mission Sunday. This year this assistance has been moved to the regular budget under “Missions”. Also an increase in the amount we send to two preachers in Zimbabwe was an item in our Mission Sunday and that support is included in the regular budget line item “Missions”. Most of the budget line items were set by looking at the actual costs for similar items in the 2007 budget. A few line items were consolidated or new items added, and some were moved to a different location within the budget. We believe this represents a budget that is both achievable and one that leaves room for God to be working in our midst.

              The budget is presented on the reverse side of these Shepherd’s Notes. Please review the budget and if you have questions about any of the items, please submit your questions to the shepherds .

Dollar vs Euro Exchange rate

                     The rate of exchange between the US Dollar and the Euro changed considerably last fall. This placed a burden on our missionaries in Italy by lowering the purchasing ability of the funds we send. We received a generous gift to our mission fund which allowed us to send them a one time adjustment to help with this. It also allowed us to send Derrick Brown some funds to repair his roof that was damaged by recent storms.
